Quell is new wearable technology that provides 100% drug free, widespread relief from chronic pain. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES) it is hard to stand out, so we needed to create an experience that grabbed the audience’s attention. Pairing the Kinect with Unity 3D is a great way to engage a passerby.

Once the Kinect recognized an attendee, a live avatar instantly appeared on the 90″ screen, following their movements. In order to simulate the mechanism of action and how Quell works, a series of dynamic animations illustrated how electrical impulses from the device cause a chemical reaction in the brain, blocking pain. The live avatar alone was enough to get attendees excited. Once they understood what Quell could do, they were even more impressed. With the additional draw, product sales and qualified leads were well above their goals.
